Former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida in his home in Minna, Niger State.

In the photo below, Atiku was captured squatting facing Babangida, which in the Northern part of the country, it’s a sign/act of respecting the elders.

But some people have been saying Atiku went to see Babangida so as to help him in winning the coming 2019 Presidential Election.

Atiku had reportedly gone to seek for Babangida’s endorsement for his candidacy for president in 2019.

Atiku’s spokesperson Kassim Afegbuan says: “They had a very useful political discussion. IBB also has a good relationship with Atiku.”

The photo below has since circulated on social media.

Some have termed it as a show of respect due to a Northern elder, while others have described it as a show of desperation to get elected.
