Akinboyewa Ayoola
Hail Mary! Thy tentacles of kindness had choked us
The earth rejoices at thy feet,
The sight of you pleased the celestial
Hail Mary! Thy boldness reaches the skies
Thou abhor man’s only hope
And the heavens rest with its king at your bosom
Hail Mary! The tales of your heart bring revival
The one that makes a belle jumps for joy
And opens the heaven with prophecy
Hail Mary! She is just a woman
As she struggles to give another life
In a mere place of straws and dung
Hail Mary! The heaven visits again with gladness
Testifying of the diviner she bore
As his eyes shine brightly in the night
Hail! Hail! Hail!
Who shall I hail?
Is this not the Diviner with treasures so true?
Do I forget Mary hustle so soon?
Hail! Hail! Hail!
Who shall I hail?
Miracles untold sails from her son
The Diviner truly is who he is
Hail! Hail! Hail!
Who shall I hail?
Let’s ask the Roman Catholic
Or better still the Pentecostal
Hail! Hail! Hail!
Who shall I hail?
The templates of the creed have brought war
Between kindred of the creator alike
Hail! Hail! Hail!
Who shall I hail?
I lay in great confusion
It’s just another scheme to think man wise
